UFOC? What is it?
If you have ever dreamed of owning your very own professional sports team/franchise this is your opportunity...
The UFOC (Ultimate Fantasy Owners Challenge) is a patented (U.S. Patent #8388443) and unique fantasy sports game based on the "real world" win/loss records of sports teams instead of the more "traditional" fantasy sports games based on individual players' performances.
Sports fans, like most people these days, are very busy and don't have the time to hassle with the day-to-day demands of running a successful fantasy sports team... until now!
The UFOC does not require any of the "hands on" daily attention that most fantasy sports leagues demand, and as a matter of fact, once you've drafted/picked your "UFOC Teams" you won't have to worry about starting lineup deadlines, player injuries, or even trades because once you draft your "franchise" you just sit back and enjoy watching the games.
There are 2 ways to play UFOC...and signing up is a quick and painless process (all you need is an email address)!
1) Standard UFOC...You "draft" 4 teams (once a team has been drafted the other owners cannot draft that team and the standard UFOC League usually consists of 30 owner/players) and your drafted teams' accumulated win totals determine how well your franchise does.
2)UFOC EXTREME where you "pick/choose" teams from pre-determined "tiers" and their accumulated win totals determine how well your franchise does.
The season lasts approximately 9 months depending on which sport the season starts with. For example if you start with Major League Baseball in April 2016 the season will conclude with the NFL Super Bowl in February of 2017!
The original UFOC concept was designed to make all regular season and playoff games throughout sports more meaningful and significant by assigning a "point(s) per win" system that equally values a victory in any sport when compared to other participating sports. By drafting/picking teams from each of the major sports (MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, or College Football Championship SubDivision teams), you are now the owner of your "UFOC Franchise".
Here is how each Sport is equally weighted when compared to each other based on number of games played:
Regular Season and playoff Wins are worth:
NFL- 10 points per regular season win, Playoff Wins 4 points (including "byes") and ties are worth 5 points
MLB- 1 point Playoffs 2 points (note: not series wins but each game win)
NHL/NBA- 2 points per regular season win, Playoffs 1 point (note: not series wins but each game win)
For those Leagues that include College Football:
College Football Regular Season Wins - 11 points each
College Football Conference Championship Games, Playoff Wins and Bowl Game Wins - 4 points each
The "UFOC" (Ultimate Fantasy Owner Challenge) as the name implies is for the ULTIMATE Sports Fan who enjoys all of the major team sports! It was invented by a sports fanatic from Arizona who also has family roots that go back to that great sports town, Chicago. The inventor enjoys playing "individual player" based fantasy sports but felt there was an "untapped" fantasy sports market based on teams' performance not just the individual player(s).
